YouTube Subscriber Count Checker

Live subscriber count for any channel, plus how close it is to monetization.

YouTube rounds and hides the exact subscriber count on the channel page. Paste any @handle or channel URL and we'll pull the current count from YouTube's public data, and show you exactly how close the channel is to the 1,000-subscriber half of the Partner Program bar.

How it works

1

Paste a handle or channel URL

@handles, /channel/ IDs, /c/ and /user/ URLs all resolve to the same channel.

2

We pull the live count

Straight from YouTube's public data. The same source the channel page reads.

3

See the monetization gap

We highlight how many subscribers remain to clear the 1,000-sub Partner bar.

4

Track competitors too

Works on any public channel. Benchmark yourself against others in your niche.

Frequently asked questions

It's the current public count YouTube exposes. The same number shown on the channel page, un-rounded where the data provides it. It can lag the true count by a few minutes.

1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 valid public watch-hours in the last 12 months unlocks the YouTube Partner Program (ads + memberships).

YouTube periodically removes spam, closed, and inactive accounts (~every 60 days). A small dip is normal; a big one usually means the channel picked up low-quality subscribers at some point.

Yes. Any public channel by handle or URL. Channels that hide their subscriber count return 0 for subs but still resolve.

What a live sub count can and cannot show you

Paste a channel handle or URL above and the checker pulls that channel's current public subscriber count, straight from what YouTube exposes at this moment. No login, no tracking pixel on your end, and it works for any channel, yours or anyone else's.

Why the number is rounded

YouTube stopped displaying exact subscriber counts publicly in 2019: past 1,000 subscribers, the platform itself rounds the public figure to about three significant digits, so 12,345 displays as 12.3K. Every sub count checker on the internet reads that same public figure, which means any site promising exact-to-the-single-digit numbers for larger channels is promising something YouTube does not publish. What this tool gives you is the real public number at the moment you ask, which is exactly what sponsors, collaborators and viewers see too.

Why the count sometimes refuses to move

The rounding explains the most common confusion people bring here: a channel at 12.3K can gain a few hundred subscribers and still display 12.3K, because the public figure only ticks when it crosses the next rounding step. Below 1,000 the count moves subscriber by subscriber; above it, growth happens in visible jumps. If you are tracking a small channel daily, expect real movement; if you are tracking a big one, check weekly and read the jumps, not the silence. Animated "real-time" counters elsewhere are interpolating between the same public reads this tool makes; the drama is animation, not data.

The monetization distance

The checker also shows how far a channel stands from 1,000 subscribers, because that is half of YouTube's Partner Program gate: 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 public watch hours in twelve months, or 10 million public Shorts views in 90 days. The subscriber half is countable and this tool counts it. The watch-hours half runs on real viewing and is visible only in the channel owner's own analytics, so treat any external site claiming to measure it with suspicion.

How to check any channel's subscriber count

Type the @handle (the checker accepts it with or without the @), or paste the full channel URL. You get the count, the channel's avatar and name, so you know you caught the right channel and not a namesake. Checking a competitor, vetting a collaboration candidate before you commit content to them, catching your own milestone for a screenshot, or seeing your channel from a logged-out perspective are the usual reasons people are here.

Reading a count the way a sponsor does

A subscriber number never gets read alone. Anyone deciding whether to work with a channel puts it next to recent view counts: a six-figure channel whose fresh uploads collect four-figure views tells a story about audience decay, while a small channel with views close to its subscriber line looks alive. Run both checks before drawing conclusions about any channel, including your own.

When the count is the problem

A channel judged daily by that public number sometimes needs the number repaired rather than watched. That is the paid side of this site: YouTube subscribers with the price per 1,000 printed, a channel link as the only requirement, and a written 30-day refill, plus the same honesty this page just gave you about what a bought number does and does not do.
